Butler County United Way 'Needs' Video Wins Telly Award
Butler County United Way representatives can now add three words when describing its 'Needs' video... 'Telly... Award... Winning'. The 'Needs' video won a Telly Award during the 28th Annual Telly Awards.
The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. This year, the Telly Awards received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and many foreign countries.
The 'Needs' video was shot in May and June of 2006, at various locations in Butler County. All of the actors in the video live in Butler County.
Travis Theiss, Marketing & Communications Specialist for Butler County United Way, wrote the script and helped setup shoot locations and find actors. "Winning a Telly Award is a great honor," said Travis Theiss. "We had tremendous support in the community when it came to setting up shoot locations and all of the actors were very talented. This all helped make the video a success."
Michael Murray, Murray Multimedia Resources, LLC., produced and directed the 'Needs' video.
The 'Needs' video, sponsored by US Bank, tells a story of how everyone in Butler County has needs and how Butler County United Way is here "helping you... help others". This is done through Butler County United Way's four impact areas: Butler County Youth Will Grow into Successful Adults, Butler County Residents Meet Everyday Needs, Butler County Residents Remain Healthy and Butler County Residents Stay Connected to the Community.
