Vision: To support children and families in crisis and end child abuse.

Mission: To be the expert resource that provides comprehensive, coordinated and accessible services to Butler County families to respond to, to treat, and to prevent child abuse.

Partners: Butler County United Way , the Butler County Commission and multiple community partners have joined forces to support a destination where children who have been victimized by an abusive situation or witnessed a severe domestic violence situation can with dignity and inner confidence share their traumatic story while having the right services available to meet their immediate and future needs.  The Center will allow straightforward access to services and healing.

There are over 20 child advocacy centers in Ohio and over 300 throughout the country to treat abused children and families. Many of these Centers realize that, although a Child Advocacy Center is considered a must have, treatment, prevention and training are the critical steps to stop future children from being abused. The Butler County Center will emphasize the support of the abused child and family as well as the prevention and training component.

Key Function Areas:

  • Forensic Evaluation
  • Medical Assesment
  • Case Management
  • Ombudsman Services
  • Victim Advocacy
  • WrapARound Services (Multi-Systemic Therapy, Family Therapy)

  • First Response Team Forensic Interview Training (five day comprehensive training) and Subsequent Training

Community input will be solicited in the development process.
